My steps:
I shut Amarok
installed:
libmtp8_0.3.5-0ubuntu1_i386.deb, mtp-tools_0.3.5-0ubuntu1_i386.deb
as suggested.
Started Amarok.
Had left my Zen X-Fi 32G connected, so had to remove and reconnect it.
